5 Steps To Configure Bellsouth Email With Outlook, Android, and iPhone

In order to send and receive emails in your BellSouth email account on email client like Microsoft Outlook, you will need to configure the BellSouth email settings in your Outlook program. Similarly, if you wish to use BellSouth email on your Android or iPhone, you will need to verify the settings for your BellSouth email account as per the respective email application. NOTE: BellSouth Internet and Email services have been merged with AT&T, the following configuration settings are according to AT&T.

Bellsouth Email Settings For Outlook

1.) Launch Outlook on your computer and click on the File option.

2.) Under File, select Account Settings option and then click on the Email account to update.

3.) Next, under Internet Email Setting, verify the following points:

• Make sure that you have selected POP3 or IMAP
• Make sure that User Name and Password are entered correctly.

4.) Then, you will need to enter the following information:

When selected POP3, enter the following inputs:

• Incoming Call Server: att.net
• Port: 995
• Use the following type of encrypted connection: SSL
• Outgoing Mail Server:att.net
• Outgoing Server (SMTP): 465
• Use the following type of encrypted: SSL

And, when selected IMAP, enter the following inputs:

• Incoming Call Server: att.net
• Port: 993
• Use the following type of encrypted connection: SSL
• Outgoing Mail Server:att.net
• Outgoing Server (SMTP): 465 or 587
• Use the following type of encrypted: SSL

5.) Then, click on the OK button after following the above steps and select “Next” option on the Internet Email Settings. After that, click on the Finish button to successfully configuring the Bellsouth Email SMTP Settings for Outlook account.

Bellsouth Email Settings For Android

1.) On your Android device, open the Gmail application and select the Menu bar icon.

2.) Tap on the drop-down icon located next to your name and select Add account option.

3.) On the next screen, tap on the Other option and select MANUAL SETUP option after entering your BellSouth email address. You will be directed to the next screen.

4.) Here, you will need to select either Personal (POP3) or Personal (IMAP)option. After selecting the appropriate protocol, enter the password for your account on the next screen and tap on the Next option.

5.) Then, verify the email settings for BellSouth as mentioned below

POP3

• Inbound server –att.net
• Port – 995
• SMTP server –att.net
• Port – 465
• SSL Required – Yes

IMAP

• Inbound server –mail.att.net
• Port – 993
• SMTP server –mail.att.net
• Port – 465 or 587
• SSL Required – Yes

After that, simply follow the on-screen instructions to complete the configuration process.

Bellsouth Email Settings For iPhone

1.) Tap on the Settings app icon on your iPhone.

2.) Under Settings, tap on the Mail, Contacts, Calendars.

3.) Next, select your email type and choose “Other” option for BellSouth email.

4.) Now, select Add Mail Account option under Mail section and enter your account information. Enter your Name, Email, Password, and Description.

5.) On the next screen, enter the email settings information as provided below.

POP3

• Inbound server –att.net
• Port – 995
• SMTP server –att.net
• Port – 465
• SSL Required – Yes

IMAP

• Inbound server –mail.att.net
• Port – 993
• SMTP server –mail.att.net
• Port – 465 or 587
• SSL Required – Yes

After that, tap on the Next button to continue further. Choose the information you wish to sync with your phone and tap on the Save option. Your BellSouth email account will be configured on your iPhone.
