1.) Start by locating the IMAP/POP server and port settings in your email application. You can find these setting under an Account Settings menu in your email application.

2.) Once you have located the server settings, verify your settings with the following and make changes accordingly.

POP3 Protocol Server Settings

  • Incoming mail server (POP3):verizon.net
  • Outgoing mail server (SMTP):verizon.net
  • Enable SSL encryption for the incoming and outgoing mail server.

Port Settings

  • POP3: 995 SSL
  • SMTP: 465 SSL

IMAP Protocol Server Settings

  • Incoming mail server (POP3):verizon.net
  • Outgoing mail server (SMTP):verizon.net
  • Enable SSL encryption for the incoming and outgoing mail server.

Port Settings

  • IMAP: 993 SSL
  • SMTP: 465 SSL

After you have rectified the IMAP/POP Server settings and Port settings for your Verizon Email account, you can test your email by sending an email back to your Verizon mail account. If you receive the email back in usual time, your account is working fine. However, if you receive an error in sending or receiving email, address the error accordingly. Additionally, also check your account for the following:

  • Make sure your internet network is working appropriately.
  • Make sure the email address you are entering to send the email is entered correctly.
  • Check in case the emails are getting stuck in Outbox
