Set Up iCloud Account on iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch

There are 2 methods for Set Up iCloud Account. One is automatic & other is manual. Here we have listed both for your convience.

For Automatic

1.) Go to the Settings option on your iPhone, iPod, or iPad. Select Accounts & Passwords option from the list and tap on the Add Account option.

NOTE: If you are using 10.3.3 or earlier version, you will need to go to the Settings > Mail > Accounts > Add Account.

2.) Now, select your email provider and enter your iCloud email address and password on the next screen.

NOTE: If you don’t see your email service provider in the list, tap on the “Other” option to add your account manually”

3.) After entering your iCloud username and password, tap on the Next button and wait until your Mail account gets verified successfully.

4.) Once your account gets verified, select information from your email account such as Calendars, or Contacts which you wish to sync on your device.

5.) When done, tap on the Save button to complete the iCloud account setup process.

For Manual

NOTE: When looking to configure your iCloud account manually, make sure that you know the email settings for your account. In case you don’t know the email settings, contact your email provider.

1.) Go to the Settings option on your iPhone, iPod, or iPad. Select Accounts & Passwords option from the list and tap on the Add Account option.

NOTE: If you are using 10.3.3 or earlier version, you will need to go to the Settings > Mail > Accounts > Add Account.

2.) On the next screen, tap on the “Other” option and select Add Mail Account option.

3.) Next, you will need to enter your name, email address, password and a description of your iCloud account.

4.) Tap on the Next option and Mail will start finding the email settings to complete the setup process. Tap on the Done button if Mail finds your email settings.

If Mail doesn’t find your email settings, you will need to enter the information manually as mentioned below. Tap Next on your device and follow these steps:

5.) Select IMAP or POP option for your new account. However, if you are not sure which one to select, you can contact your email service provider.

6.) Now, enter the information for the Incoming Mail Server and Outgoing Mail Server and tap Next.

7.) Once you are done entering the required information stated above, tap on the Finish button. Your iCloud account will be set up on your iOS device.

5 Steps to Set Up iCloud Account on Mac

When looking to set up your iCloud Account on Mac, make sure that your Mac is running with the latest version OS X.

1.) To update your Mac to the latest version, go to the Apple menu on your Mac and select Software Update option. Check if any update is available on your system.

2.) Once you have updated your Mac, go to the System Preferences option located under Apple menu.

3.) Click on the iCloud option and enter your Apple ID. Choose the services which you would activate in your account.

4.) To enable iCloud Photo Library, iCloud Photo Sharing, and My Photo Stream option, click on the “Option” button located next to the Photos option. Then, select iCloud Photo Library, iCloud Photo Sharing and My Photo Stream option.

5.) If you wish to enable automatic downloads in iTunes, you will need to open iTunes and select Preferences option. Next, click on the Downloads option and select Music, Movies, Apps, and TV Shows. Click Ok button when you are done.

Steps to Set Up iCloud Account on Windows

1.) To set up iCloud on your Windows PC (Windows 7 or above), you will need to first set your iCloud account your iOS devices or Mac. After that, download and install iCloud for Windows.

2.) Once you have downloaded and installed iCloud for Windows on your computer, open it and sign in using your Apple ID which you used to create your iCloud account.

3.) Then, simply select the iCloud services which you would like to activate in your account. Once you have selected the desired service, click on the Apply button.

4.) When you will enable iCloud Drive and Photos for your account, iCloud for Windows will create new folders for such filed in your Windows Explorer. Then, whenever you will save new files in these folders, the files will be updated on your other iOS devices.
