How To Set Up Hushmail On Android?

Instead of using your desktop to access your HushMail account each time you need to check or send an email, you can get your HushMail account configured on your Android phone using IMAP and get easy access to your account whenever you want and wherever you are. Configuring your HushMail account on your Android device is quite easy, provided you have information on Server settings (for Manual Setup). Below are the step-by-step instructions for setting up your HushMail account Android.

Steps to Configure HushMail on Android

1.) Go to the Applications menu on your Android device and select Settings app.

2.) Under Settings, tap on the Accounts option.

3.) Next, tap on the Add account option.

4.) Then, select Personal (IMAP) option from the list.

5.) On the next screen, enter your Email Address and tap on the Next button. Wait until you are directed to the next screen.

6.) When the next screen opens, enter your Password and tap on the Sign Inbutton.

7.) You will be prompted to allow access to Client Gmail to access your HushMail data. Simply tap on the Allow button.

8.) Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.

In case, your HushMail account doesn’t get configured on your Android device automatically, you will need to try settings it up manually. Here are the steps:

1.) Follow the same steps as mentioned above (from 1 to 4). After that enter your Email address on the next screen and tap on the MANUAL SETUP option.

2.) Next, select the Personal (IMAP) option and tap on the Next button. Wait until you are directed to the next screen.

3.) On the next screen, enter your password (if prompted) and tap on the Sign in button.

4.) When prompted to enter your Incoming Server Settings, Incoming Server Settings, and Login Information provides the following information in the relevant fields:

Login Information

• Email address: Enter your email address
• User name: Enter your username
• Password: Enter your account’s password

Incoming Server

• IMAP server:hushmail.com
• Security type: SSL
• Port: 993
• User name: Enter your full email address
• Password: Enter your passphrase

Outgoing Server

• SMTP server:hushmail.com
• Security type: SSL
• Port: 465
• Authentication required before sending emails: checked
• User name: Enter your full email address
• Password: Enter your passphrase

5.) After that, tap on the SIGN IN button. Your HushMail account will be configured to your Android device.
