How to Add Recovery Email Address in Yahoo?

It is important to keep your Account Recovery information up-to-date all the time in your Yahoo account. This is because; if you ever face trouble signing into your Yahoo account or your account gets hacked, you will need to have access to one of the Account recovery options associated with your account. Account recovery options mainly include either your phone number/email address or both. If you have not added any Recover Email Address to your Yahoo account, you can add it by following the steps mentioned below.

Steps to Add Recovery Email Address to Yahoo Account

1.) Go to the Yahoo sign-in page and enter your email address and password to log into your account.

2.) Once logged into your account, move your mouse cursor to your Profile name located on the upper-right corner of your Yahoo account page.

3.) From the drop-down menu that appears on your screen, click on the Account info option. You will be directed to the Account info page.

4.) Under Account info page, click on the Account security option located on the left-hand side panel.

NOTE: Clicking on the Account security option may ask you enter the password for your account to get access to the Account security section.

5.) Once you get access to the Account security page, click on the Email addresses option.

6.) Under Email addresses window, click on the Add recovery email address option. You will be prompted to enter your email address in the provided field.

7.) After entering your email address, click on the Send verification email button. Yahoo will send a verification email to the email address entered by you.

8.) Sign into your email account (which you entered in the previous step) and open the email sent by Yahoo.

9.) Follow the instructions in that email to complete the verification process.

10.) Once your email address gets verified successfully, your email address will be added to your Yahoo account as a recovery email address.
