Getting emails from unwanted senders can be quite frustrating, especially when you get them in a larger numbers on daily basis. Such emails usually include promotional and marketing messages. In order to get rid of such unwanted emails from unknown senders, you can try the steps given below.
Steps to Block Email from Unwanted Senders in Yahoo Mail Account
As there are two versions of Yahoo Mail available, we have provided below steps for both for blocking email from unwanted senders.
Note: You can currently block the email address using the desktop version of Yahoo Mail only. This option is not available for the Yahoo Mail Mobile or the Yahoo Mail application.
For Yahoo Mail Classis
1.) Sign in to your Yahoo Mail account and move your mouse cursor to the Gear Icon. Select Settings option from the drop-down list. A new window will open.
2.) Under the Settings window, click on the Blocked Addresses option located on the left side.
3.) Under the Blocked Addresses section, click on the Add an address field and enter the email address of the sender from which you are getting unwanted emails.
4.) Once entered, click on the Block button located on the right side of the window.
5.) After that, click on the Save button to save the changes you made. This way you can block up to 1000 email address in your Yahoo Mail account.
For Yahoo Mail Basic
1.) Sign in to your Yahoo Mail account and click on the down-arrow key located on the top-right corner, just before the Sign Out option.
2.) From the drop-down list, select Options and click on the Go button. A new window will appear.
3.) On this window, click on the Blocked Addresses option located under Advanced Options section.
4.) Now, under the Blocked Addresses section, click on the Add an address field and enter the email address of the sender who is sending you unwanted emails.
5.) Once entered, click on the + icon located next to the field. This will add the email address to the block list.
