How to Change Email on Facebook

If you are a user of Facebook and wish to change your email added to it while signing up, the Social Media Company permits you to make the changes to your primary email ID.

This is the email address that you have been using since your registration with FB (as Facebook is popularly known) and receiving all notifications too. Adding another email address (making it primary email ID) to Facebook is as simple as making some changes to the settings.

How to Change Email On Facebook Account

1. Sign-in to your Facebook account
2. Click the triangle icon  located in the top right corner
3. Select Settings
4. Click the Contact button in the General tab
5. Select Add another email or mobile number and then provide the email ID
6. Click Add
7. This will prompt you to re-enter your Facebook password
8. Follow the instruction and click Submit
9. Close
10. Facebook would send you a verification/ notification email when you provide the new email address to your FB account. All you need to do is to click on the link that has been sent to your email and confirm.

Note: Sometimes the verification link doesn’t work. In that case, you have to copy the confirmation code and paste it below Add another email or mobile number in the settings. Click the Confirm button and Save Changes.

Steps to Follow to Remove Email Address

1. Click the triangle icon  located in the top right corner
2. Select Settings
3. Click the Contact button in the General tab
4. Next to the email that you want to remove, click Remove
5. Click Save Changes

If in case you clicked on the wrong email address, simply click the Undo button and get the email ID back.
