Yandex Mail SMTP & POP Settings For Outlook Configuration

You can access your email easily from your Yandex.Mail account using any of the email clients such as Outlook, Apple Mail, and Mozilla Thunderbird. However, in order to set your Yandex.Mail account, you will need to know the POP server settings for Yandex.Mail.

Following are the Yandex.Mail POP server settings for accessing incoming emails in an email client:

• Mail POP User Name: Your complete Yandex.Mail email address

NOTE: First try entering “@yandex.com“, or the domain name which you use with the Yandex.Mail account. In case this doesn’t work, you can try entering your username only i.e. the credential before the @yandex.com

• Mail POP password: Your password for Yandex.Mail account
• Account type: POP3
• Mail POP port: 995
• Mail POP TLS/SSL required: Yes, choose SSL/TLS
• Mail POP STARTTLS required: No

How Yandex.Mail Works with POP3?

If you are using POP3 with an email client such as Outlook on your computer, you will be able to download emails from Yandex.Mail into folders on your computer. Unless you set up filters on your email client to keep emails in a particular folder, all the emails will go into the inbox folder only.

Accessing Yandex.Mail with POP3 keeps a copy of the email on its server, apart from the copy you download. In case you delete the downloaded email from your email client on a computer, it doesn’t affect the message stored on the Yandex.Mail server. To delete emails from the server, you will need to access the web interface of Yandex.Mail.

However, if you wish to make the deletion action to work on both – your email client and Yandex.Mail server, you will need to use IMAP instead of POP3 with your Yandex.Mail. Below, we have listed the Yandex.Mail IMAP Settings.
