If you are an AT&T mail and device user, you will be happy to know that you can easily send an email as text or a text as an email to the recipients’ AT&T device or mailbox. To know how to send email-to-text or text-to-email messages in AT&T, follow the step-by-step instructions provided below.

2 Steps to Send Email-to-Text or Text-to-Email Messages in AT&T

As every AT&T wireless number comes with a corresponding email address, you can easily send an email to that address and make it get delivered to the device as text, picture, or video messages. To send an email message as a text message to the recipient with an AT&T wireless numbers on their AT&T device, follow these steps:

1.) Compose a new email and enter the 10-digit wireless number of the recipient followed by “@txt.att.net” without quotation. For example, if the wireless number of the recipient is 6663216789, you will need to enter [email protected].

2.) Similarly, if you wish to send a picture or video message, compose a new email and enter the 10-digit wireless number of the recipient followed by @txt.att.net. For example, if the wireless number of the recipient is 6663216789, you will need to enter [email protected].

On the other hand, if you wish to send a text, picture, or video message directly to the email address of the recipient, you can do so easily by composing a new message and entering an email address instead of a wireless number. Also, you can reply to a text, video or image message sent from an email address. The recipient will see the email sent by you as

• [email protected] (for text messages)
• [email protected] (for pictures or video messages)

NOTE: Note: if a text message you receive begins with 10101, it means that it has come from the sender’s email address. Also, know that standard picture and video (MMS) text messaging (SMS) rates apply as per your current AT&T tariff for both – text-to-email and email-to-text messages you send or receive.
