When You Have Access to Your Email

If you have access to your email, you can follow the steps provided below to change your email. However, before following the steps to change your email on your Epic Games account, you will need to make sure that you have access to follow:

• Your email account which is currently associated with your Epic Games account.
• Your email which you will be updating in your Epic Games account.

Once you have considered the above-mentioned information, you can follow these steps to change your email in the Epic Games account.

1. Open a browser on your screen and go to Epic Games sign-in page. Enter your login credentials in the prompted fields and log into your account.
2. Once you are logged into your account, you will need to hover your mouse cursor on your username located on the top-right corner of the screen. A drop-down menu will appear.
3. From the drop-down menu, you will need to select the Account option. Doing so will direct you to the next screen.
4. On the next screen, you will need to click on the General option located on the left-hand side panel. This will open the General Settings section of your account on the screen.
5. In the General Settings section, you will need to click on the Edit option (pen icon) located next to your current email address. As you will click on the Edit option, a small window will appear on your screen where you will be prompted to change your Account Email Address.
6. In the small window, you will need to enter your new email address and click on the CONFIRM option. Clicking on the CONFIRM option will send a Security Code on your current email address. You will need to sign in to your current email account and open the email from Epic Games.
7. Once you have opened the email, copy the Security Code from it and paste it in the field displayed on your computer screen. Then, click on the CONTINUE button. Doing so will then send a verification line to your new email address.
8. Go to your new email account and check the email from the Epic Games. In the email, you will either need to click on the VERIFY YOUR EMAIL button or copy and paste the link into your browser.
9. After the successful verification of your email, your email will be changed for your Epic Games account.

When You Don’t Have Access to Your Email

In case you don’t have access to your email but still wish to change it, you can do so by following the steps provided below to provide some verification information and submitting a ticket to our support team.

• Go to a web browser on your computer and go to the Password Change (https://www.epicgames.com/help/en-US/wizards/w1) page.
• Once you are on the password change page, you will need to go to the Email address section. Enter your current email address in the Previous email address field and the one you want to use now in the New email address field.
• After entering the email addresses as suggested, you will need to click on the NEXT STEP button.
• Next, you will need to enter the Approximate account creation date and Approximate last login date in the relevant fields under the Account info section. Then, click on the NEXT STEP button.
• Clicking on the NEXT STEP button will take you to the IPv4 address section. While the IP address would be displayed for your device, if you use several IP addresses, you will need to include them by clicking on the + ADD IP ADDRESS option. Once you are done enter the IP addresses, click on the NEXT STEP button.
• In the Purchase info section, you will need to enter your Invoice ID or transaction number, City, Country, Last 4 digits of credit card and click on the NEXT STEP button.
• Similarly, provide the relevant information for the Connected accounts section and follow the on-screen prompts.
• If the information provided by you would be sufficient, you will be allowed to change the email in your Epic Games account without verification.

Unable to Change the Email?

If even after following the above-mentioned instructions you are unable to change the email on your Epic Games account, it can be because of the following two reasons:

• You don’t have access to the email account associated with your Epic Games account. In such a case you can go this page (https://www.epicgames.com/help/en-US/wizards/w1) to provide verification information and submit a ticket to the support team of Epic Game.
• An automated email with the verification line was sent to your new email address when you provided the new email address for your Epic Games account, however, you didn’t verify your new email address. In such a case, you can go to the Account Info section in the General Settings of your Epic Games account. Here, you will see an error message that reads You are limited to only one alternative email. Please check your email to verify the address.
  • Click on the Resend Email option if you have access to this email account.
  • Then, find the email in your Inbox and follow the instructions provided in it.
  • In case you don’t have access to the email address, click on the Cancel option. This will display a Confirm Cancellation pop-up window.
  • Click on the Confirm button in the confirmation window and follow the instructions provide earlier to change your current email to any other email address.
